On Tuesday during the Muddy Race Prep session at Basefit, JP reminded me that it was only 5,5 weeks left to Toughest London! Time to start the panic! Somehow this motivated me to push extra hard towards my pull-ups goal and this week I went from not being able to do any to doing sets of 3-4! I have a feeling that my goal of 10 unassisted wide arms pull-ups aren't too far away, and for this I have the excellent coaching and support by the trainers at Basefit to thank for!

This new timetable at Basefit gives me problems. There are 5 sessions I want to attend, but as I'm not Dwayne Johnson (yet) I can only do 3 each week. This week my 3 sessions of choice ended up being 3 days in a row, and I went all in on the first two sessions, but had no energy left for the last muddy race prep of the week (except for some pull-ups... There will always be some extra energy for pull-ups although it was 3rd session with pull-ups in a row). Next time I will have to skip one of these awesome sessions to spread out my training as my body need a rest day in between to recover from the effort.

To end the training week on a high I played bubble football on Friday, which knocked me out totally so on Saturday it took me 4 hours to get out of bed. But so worth it! This week has been absolutely amazing, but if I want to be my best and get the most out of my sessions to prepare for Toughest, I need to spread out my sessions more. And I want to be my best always!

Training is supposed to be fun, and my problem is that I enjoy it too much! I would easily train every day if I could. Now I have been a member at Basefit for one year and no session is ever the same which make it exciting every week! Since it's a very personalised and small training facility, it is possible to tell the trainers what you want to focus on, and they will take this into account when preparing the sessions. A year ago when I started working out at Basefit I couldn't flip a tyre by myself, I couldn't go all the way on the monkey bars and I was nowhere near being able to do a pull-up. Today I can do all that thanks to determination and great support from Andy, Dejan and Danny!

To top of a successful week I also received nutritional advice from Dejan (BaseFit trainer and Let's Train co founder https://www.facebook.com/LetsTrainFitness/?pnref=lhc) which was very useful. He opened up my eyes that I don't need to do drastic changes to my diet but gave me with some easy advice which I can follow. Eating healthy doesn't have to be difficult or boring.

Five weeks to go until Team Basefit will smash Toughest!
