Consistency is key!

September has rolled around quick and many of us are post holiday.. And while I think it is is important to relax on holiday!! Absolutely!! Our bodies need rest structured in and let's face it, life is too short not to enjoy ourselves with friends and family!
However, we need to plan our return to programme so that you don't undo all the hard work! You can keep your muscle memory, yes, your cardio fitness takes a couple of weeks to return after a break, but if you continue to eat in a relaxed fashion without tracking what you are doing and cease exercise, chances are that you will return to your start point.
What to do Post Holiday...
Plan put your diary, work out what workouts you are going to do and stick to them, plan out your meals, get back into routine, the quicker this is done the quicker you bounce back.
Gain accountability, get back with your trainer for that kickstart you, tell your Basefit class coach which classes you are going to attend!! Make sure you are voicing your goals!
You will likely need motivation to kickstart again, so...
Try something new, bring excitement into your routine, try some new recipes, try a new workout or a new running route.. If there is one of the classes you have maybe been avoiding because it sounds too intense, give it a go.
