Summer Bodies are Built In The Winter

As the clock goes back and Christmas party season approaches, a divide tends to appear amongst members: early birds and night owls.
The early birds are up before the sun, chasing barbells and kettlebells around the Basefit compound until their body figures out what it's doing and reminds them to eat and sleep, usually quite early into the evening, some under a blanket, with a hot drink in hand and a hearty meal on the go.
The night owls take two or sometimes three classes on during the evening, smashing out the frustrations of a hard day in Muddy Race Prep or throwing kegs around in Strongman, after having enjoyed a few extra hours of sleep during the morning under the duvet.
Whatever you are, one word of advice as the cold snap approaches: keep warm. It is flu season after all, so dig out those hats and gloves people! Last year we had more than one member wear a scarf too, as well several who wore coats through sessions. Moving helps too (thank you Captain Obvious!!) we are a gym after all so get cracking into those burpees and thrusters, amongst other methods of torture!
If you need any advice on which clothes work best, remember you can purchase a Basefit hoody by emailing shoreditch@base-fit.uk and gloves from Whatever it Takes using the discount card provided!
Remember, Summer bodies are built in the winter!!
